Resolved, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, that She will be graciously pleased to give directions that there be laid before this House, Copies or Extracts of any Correspondence with Sir John Bowring on the sub- ject of his application for a Vote from Parliament to defray the expense of measures of precaution and defence at Hong Kong, required by the state of affairs in China.
Ordered, That the said Address be presented to Her Majesty by such Members of this House as are of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.
